My experience

I completed my core Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Monash Health, a large tertiary centre for women’s health. During this time I gained extensive experience working with high-risk pregnancies including vaginal birth after caesarean section (VBAC), twins, placenta praevia, preterm births, and complex maternal conditions in pregnancy. My rotations included time at Box Hill Hospital and Angliss Hospital where I worked with a large number of women of Chinese descent.

I completed my advanced training at Northern Health, a large metropolitan hospital in Victoria with a multicultural, diverse patient population and high birth rates. During this time I performed a large number of advanced laparoscopy and vaginal surgeries.

I work in a number of hospitals, both private and public. Details are below:

Private Hospital

  • Mitcham Private Hospital, 27 Doncaster East Road, Mitcham VIC 3132

Public Hospitals

  • Northern Hospital, 185 Cooper Street, Epping VIC 3076

  • Box Hill Hospital, 8 Arnold Street, Box Hill VIC 3182

  • Angliss Hospital, 39 Albert Street, Upper Ferntree Gully VIC 3156

I deliver babies and perform surgeries privately at Mitcham Private Hospital.

If you wish to have your surgery performed in a public hospital, I can directly add you on to the surgical waitlist at Box Hill Hospital, Angliss Hospital or The Northern Hospital.

I am part of the Specialist Group MyO&G. You can find out more here.

  • Laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) including removing ovarian cysts and hysterectomy

  • Vaginal surgery including hysterectomy and vaginal repair for prolapse

  • Colposcopy and treatment of cervical disease

  • Contraception (including insertion of IUD)

More about me

I was born in Guang Zhou, China and moved to Australia when I was 10. A lot of my family still live in China and I remain connected to my Chinese heritage. I speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently.

I adore travel and have been to many parts of South East Asia, America and Europe, but my all-time favourite country is Prague. When I’m not working, you can find me grocery shopping and cooking at home. I also go on the occasional road trip and love hanging out with my friends.

I love music and can play the piano and flute. Not only does it help me unwind, but playing piano also improves my dexterity which helps when I perform surgery.

I’m also regularly dragged off to watch Melbourne Football Club play AFL (more times than I’d like). But with my husband being such a big fan, there’s really no point resisting anymore!
